If you are too, let's talk.</p></div><h2 id="Job-Overview:" data-local-id="63641bd6ae21" data-renderer-start-pos="1">Job Overview:</h2> <p data-renderer-start-pos="16" data-local-id="40209066f7a4">We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join the <strong>FGA DevEx </strong>team and help evolve our end to end developer experience across both OSS and SaaS.</p> <p data-renderer-start-pos="171" data-local-id="ce579cb2d31b">This team owns the SDKs in Go, JavaScript, .NET, Python, Java and other languages, along with CLI workflows, IDE integrations, GitHub automation, developer documentation, and release strategy. All development is done in the open as open source, and we actively welcome and review community contributions.</p> <p data-renderer-start-pos="477" data-local-id="0f4943f51573">Our guiding principle is One developer experience, many deployment models.</p> <p data-renderer-start-pos="553" data-local-id="44c933ce822f">As a Senior Engineer, you will take ownership of significant portions of the SDK and tooling ecosystem, ensure high quality implementations across languages, and contribute to a consistent and reliable developer experience.</p> <hr> <h2 id="Responsibilities:" data-local-id="667d44c62b37" data-renderer-start-pos="779">Responsibilities:</h2> <ul class="ak-ul" data-local-id="66faa675-89c8-4c61-a024-827af6c00415" data-indent-level="1"> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="800" data-local-id="9318acd372a4">Maintain and enhance existing SDKs for <strong>FGA DevEx</strong> in Go, JavaScript, .NET, Python, and Java, leveraging our SDK generator framework.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="929" data-local-id="016913834089">Customize and refine SDK templates and wrappers to ensure consistency across languages and support configuration overrides such as store ID, authorization model ID, headers, and parallelization limits.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="1134" data-local-id="9a4056cf61b4">Implement and improve core SDK features including client credentials authentication flows, robust error mapping, retry logic with jitter, and rate limiting safeguards.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="1305" data-local-id="49a1b60264e1">Implement advanced capabilities such as BatchCheck, ListRelations, and non transactional write operations with appropriate parallelization and performance considerations.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="1479" data-local-id="ea24060a3165">Contribute to the SDK generator tooling, templates, and supporting build workflows using Docker and related tooling.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="1599" data-local-id="49c6ede330b1">Develop comprehensive tests for all exposed methods, including proper mocking of external requests.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="1702" data-local-id="fc3e1e9b786d">Write and maintain clear developer focused documentation, guides, and examples.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="1785" data-local-id="0144b2743c31">Optimize and maintain CI workflows using GitHub Actions for building, testing, and releasing SDK clients.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="1894" data-local-id="07cb33cbc656">Minimize external dependencies within SDKs, introducing new dependencies only when clearly justified.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="1999" data-local-id="c2d707227865">Collaborate closely with FGA Core and other internal teams to ensure API changes are reflected cleanly and consistently across SDKs.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="2135" data-local-id="9dc486170ab9">Participate actively in open source development, review community pull requests, and help contributors reach a mergeable state.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="2266" data-local-id="5faa9fb2acbd">Participate in code reviews and post delivery validation to ensure high quality, secure SDK releases.</p> </li> data-indent-level="1"> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="2389" data-local-id="6cad3e00a642">5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, ideally with experience building SDKs, libraries, or developer tooling.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="2511" data-local-id="0b1857c07cd9">Proficiency in at least one, and ideally multiple, of the following: Go, JavaScript or TypeScript, C# .NET, Python, or Java.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="2639" data-local-id="d0b8e2ae5f98">Solid understanding of SDK development principles, API ergonomics, and cross language design considerations.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="2751" data-local-id="a5d887517702">Experience working with code generation tools such as OpenAPI Generator and templating systems.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="2850" data-local-id="62646e1d4a86">Experience implementing authentication flows, retry logic, error handling, and managing client side parallelization.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="2970" data-local-id="f47e77396701">Experience setting up and maintaining GitHub Actions and release workflows.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="3049" data-local-id="1ffa8bc81921">Strong testing practices including mocking external services and validating client behavior.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="3145" data-local-id="a1348e6878cb">Good understanding of version control systems and familiarity with PR based development workflows.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="3247" data-local-id="e7cc6c83437b">Experience working in open source projects is a plus.</p> </li> <li> <p data-renderer-start-pos="3304" data-local-id="7395dfb136a6">Strong problem solving skills and the
