Manager, External Financial Reporting

<p>The Manager of External Financial Reporting supports the preparation, coordination, and review of all SEC filings and external financial reporting requirements for HawkEye 360, a newly public company. This role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures, while helping maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.</p> <p><strong>Your main responsibilities will be:</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-style: italic;"><em>External Financial Reporting</em> <ul> <li>Support the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and registration statements.</li> <li>Help maintain processes ensuring filings are accurate, complete, and compliant with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.</li> <li>Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and integrate information into disclosures.</li> <li>Leverage Workiva and related processes and technologies to ensure reported financial data derives from a single source, and to drive efficiency in the reporting and review processes.</li> <li>Support quarterly reviews and annual audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.</li> </ul> </li> <li><em>Technical Accounting</em> <ul> <li>Assist with researching technical accounting matters and drafting accounting memos and supporting documentation.</li> <li>Support implementation of new accounting standards and SEC regulatory changes.</li> </ul> </li> <li><em>Consolidation & Intercompany</em> <ul> <li>Support consolidation activities, including intercompany eliminations and adjustments.</li> </ul> </li> <li><em>Policy & Controls</em> <ul> <li>Support SOX compliance requirements related to financial reporting.</li> <li>Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Your skills and qualifications:<br></strong><strong>Essential education and experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.</li> <li>6+ years of accounting and SEC reporting experience, including public company exposure.</li> <li>Demonstrated technical expertise, including strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, consolidations, and SOX compliance requirements.</li> <li>Experience with financial statement preparation, consolidations, and XBRL tagging.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, consolidations, and internal controls.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively across departments.</li> <li>High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.</li> <li>Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and communication skills.</li> <li>High integrity and sound judgment in a regulated, national security environment.</li> <li>Strong written communication skills for SEC filings and accounting memos.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with XBRL/iXBRL tagging platforms and SEC filing systems (e.g. Workiva).</li> <li>Proficiency with financial reporting systems and ERP platforms.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desirable:</strong></p> <p></p> <ul> <li>Active CPA license</li> <li>Experience with Deltek Costpoint</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>We offer a compensation package that includes a competitive base salary plus annual performance bonus and benefits.
