Come shape the future with us.</p></div><p><strong>SUPPLY CHAIN</strong> </p> <p>Rocket Lab’s Supply Chain team is responsible for the flow of all materials, products, and components throughout the business. With many of our own products functioning as critical components to our own and our customers’ missions, the Supply Chain team has a direct impact on the success of our rocket and satellite programs. They set up assembly kits that enable our technicians to put together our Electron rockets, manage inventory, look after shipping and receiving, manage direct and indirect procurement, and inspect and ensure that all of our materials and products are compliant and up to standard. They are the chain that links our teams together and are critical to our success. </p> <p><strong>LOGISTICS COORDINATOR</strong></p> <p>Based on site at Rocket Lab’s global headquarters in Long Beach, CA, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for domestic and international shipping. There are hundreds of components that are used to manufacture Electron’s Launch Vehicle that are globally sourced and/or moved domestically and internationally between Rocket Lab manufacturing sites. This role will actively manage the logistical movements of these items. This role is responsible for managing domestic and international logistics from suppliers, between Rocket Lab locations internationally and beyond. The role also requires adherence to ITAR and other applicable export regulations. </p> <p><strong>WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:</strong> </p> <ul> <li>Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery. </li> <li>Schedule transportation and resolve shipping or delivery issues. </li> <li>Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and maintain accurate documentation. </li> <li>Identify and implement process improvements to optimize logistics operations. </li> <li>Train, and support logistics staff to meet performance goals. </li> <li>Build and maintain relationships with vendors and evaluate their performance. </li> <li>Communicate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth operations. </li> <li>Track and analyze logistics KPIs and prepare performance reports. </li> <li>Develop and implement risk management and contingency plans for disruptions. </li> </ul> <p><strong>YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:</strong> </p> <ul> <li>High school diploma and 1+ years of experience. </li> <li>Exposure to international shipping regulations. </li> <li>High degree of knowledge of freight forwarding and customs regulations. </li> <li>International Air Transportation Association, (IATA) / International Maritime Dangerous Good (IMDG) knowledge. </li> <li>Strong IT knowledge, comfortable working with Windows. </li> <li>Experience working with a fully integrated Enterprise Resource Planning system. </li> <li>Basic understanding of necessary documentation for international shipping. </li> </ul> <p><strong>THESE QUALIFCATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:</strong> </p> <ul> <li>A can-do attitude, open to learning with good organizational skills. </li> <li>Excellent communication skills and able to build working relationships.  </li> <li>Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other heavy manufacturing. </li> <li>Experience with ERP Systems and Transportation Management Systems (TMS). </li> <li>Prior experience in high-paced, rapid growth environment. </li> <li>Holds an active dangerous goods certification. </li> <li>Coordinating shipments across all modes of transportation: air, ocean, trucking, parcel/small pack. </li> <li>Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.  </li> <li>Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant including specialized training and certifications. </li> </ul> <p><em>This position may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional exposure to moderate levels of noise, dust, and fumes in production areas.</em></p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><em>Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.</em></p> <p><em>Base salary is just one component of our total rewards package at Rocket Lab.
