Avionics Integration & Test Technician (Starship) - Night Shift

Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.</p></div><p><strong>AVIONICS INTEGRATION & TEST TECHNICIAN (STARSHIP) - NIGHT SHIFT</strong></p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Read, interpret, and work from released schematics and drawings as well as from uncontrolled documentation. Interpret design intent and provide feedback to engineering to complete documentation</li> <li>Perform validation and testing of various electronic components using equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and test racks</li> <li>Perform integration on a full system suite of electronics to include on-vehicle, ground segment, and ground support applications</li> <li>Document results in a clear, precise, and complete manner</li> <li>Assemble and repair high quality wire harnesses, test racks, junction boxes, and associated components</li> <li>Support the development of avionics hardware and procedural improvements via design, test, fabrication, and work instruction efforts. Self-monitor progress and achieve on time delivery of all work</li> </ul> <p><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalency certificate</li> <li>1+ years of experience manufacturing wire harnesses or electro-mechanical sub-assemblies </li> <li>1+ years of experience using electronics equipment (e.g. DMMs, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, power supplies, DAQs, etc.)</li> </ul> <p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in aerospace, aviation, military, or other high-reliability industry</li> <li>Skill in operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity</li> <li>Ability to use precision measuring instruments</li> <li>Prior or current IPC-A-620, NASA 8739-4, J-STD-001, or SpaceX AV1200-4 certifications</li> <li>Basic knowledge of electronics theory and principles</li> <li>Experience drafting or modeling in a 3D environment</li> <li>Experience using schematic capture applications</li> <li>Experience with Atlassian tools including Confluence and JIRA</li> <li>Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills</li> <li>Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy</li> </ul> <p><strong>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to work night shift: 5:45PM - 5:45AM</li> <li>Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed</li> <li>Ability to work at elevated heights.</li> <li>Some traveling will be necessary - 10%</li> <li>Stand: Up to 10 hours per day</li> <li>Sit: Up to 10 hours per day</li> <li>Push/Pull: Up to 50lbs. (unassisted) 15 minutes or less per day</li> <li>Overhead reach: Up to 3 hours per day</li> <li>Walk: Up to 3 hours per day</li> <li>Lift/Carry: Up to 25lbs.
